Blue Eyed Soul

TAKE: a dance in the park

Dance/aerial performance

Venue : The Quarry Park
Date : Saturday 4 July
Time : performances throughout the afternoon
FREE

Three dancers disabled and non-disabled tug, twist and turn through the fact and fiction of the past, in an aerial dance performance of daring delight – challenging our preconceptions on human capability.

Blue Eyed Soul Aerial

TAKE: a dance in the park, celebrates a rich and colourful history of live outdoor performance from 1809 to 2009, trapeze artists to street performers, woollen tweed to lycra.

Bringing it into the 21st century and onto a spectacular aluminium dome rig where dancers magically glide, float and spin, narrowly missing each other in a playful journey through the archives.

The Shift-Time Blogging Project

Alongside the main Shift-Time Festival we're running a project to get Shrewsbury and the surrounding area blogging. We want people to use the festival to experiment with all sorts of "social media" services, including weblogs, photo and video sharing sites. The end result, we hope, is to give Shrewsbury the tools to talk to itself about things that matter, whatever they may be.
