What is life? Scientists argue all the time over this big question. Nevertheless, there’s general agreement that to qualify there should be signs of growth, reproduction, adaption, responsiveness, metabolism, and movement. Sometimes autonomy, development and evolution get pitched into the equation too.
Pascal & Martina’s ELFs (electronic-lifeforms) are small analog electronic creatures that react to light. And with all their twittering and tweeting, pulsating and throbbing it’s really hard to not believe that they are living some kind of life.
