In ‘A Red Notebook Manoeuvre’, Tim Brennan leads participants on a guided walk around Shrewsbury; taking in Darwin’s birthplace at Mount House and The Lion Hotel, where the young naturalist set off by stage coach for that illustrious journey on the HMS Beagle.

Armed with ‘the notebook’, in which Tim collects thoughts and voices (its not just an attractive red prop ), Tim’s ‘manoeuvres’ (or tactical walks) make 'new connections between geography, social history and personal memory' and so says The Guardian newspaper .
